Since applying to join the organisation in 2018, his focus has been the Ghostnet Campaign and the umbrella Dive Operations. He's also a trustee and the diving officer for our partner charity Fathoms Free in Cornwall, who are recovering ghost gear and marine debris all year round, and pivotal in supporting the expansion of the Dive Operations campaigns in the Southwest. His passions are the sea and marine conservation, and he's determined to expand our presence in the region through recruitment of like-minded volunteers and building a stronger team.

Since she was a toddler, she has held a lifelong desire to save animals and assist all creatures in need. She empathizes deeply with the pain and suffering of other living beings. Choosing inaction has never been an option for her, and she's never shied away from taking a stand. She believes that each of us can make a difference by photographing and documenting inhumane acts, using our voices to reveal the truth to the world. She draws inspiration from our Captain's mission to Defend, Conserve, and Protect, and her passion extends to the oceans and all of nature.

From a young age, Karen has been passionate about saving our oceans. She’s volunteered with the charity since 2014 on various campaigns, both within the UK and abroad. Karen feels particularly strongly about the whaling in the Faroe Islands having been there many times on campaign, documenting the grind and holding onto hope for change. She’s based in Bournemouth and always looking for new volunteers.

Rebecca is passionate about protecting the planet and its animals. She began volunteering for the oceans in 2018 when living in Australia and has been active in the UK since 2021. Focused on the Coastal Debris Campaign and public outreach at events, she enjoys connecting like-minded people to make a direct impact on important causes. Rebecca believes film and photography are powerful tools for change and actively shares the documentation the charity captures in the Faroe Islands and Iceland to expose these cruel and outdated whaling practices to the world. She’s based in Brighton and keen to bring the community together to protect the coast.
